Growing up my parents always wanted the best opportunities for my sister and me. They continuously encouraged us to take advantage of any opportunity available to us no matter if it was in reach or something we dreamt about. So as my sister approached her senior year of undergraduate school and I was approaching my junior year in undergrad, the topic of backpacking came into conversation amongst my family. Backpacking was the one topic that my parents always prided upon both my sister and me. It is the one thing most people dream about doing before they start their careers and families; however, many people miss this amazing opportunity. As a young adult, confident, responsible, and independent, I was going to do anything I could to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity and enjoy every second of it.......
